Strathmore 400 Series Visual Journal Bristol Vellum

Bristol vellum provides more surface tooth than smooth Bristol, giving dry media something to grip while still maintaining a relatively clean drawing surface. This makes the journal useful for graphite, coloured pencil, charcoal, pastel and sketching stick work where controlled layering and tonal variation matter.

The heavy-duty cover and reinforced wire binding let the journal lie flat and open 360 degrees, making it convenient for studio sessions, classes and portable sketching. The smaller format works well for everyday drawing and travel, while the 9 x 12 inch format provides more space for detailed illustrations and finished studies.
