Holbein Artist Watercolour Half Pan – Ivory Black 612
HB6 · ZF5
Holbein Artist Watercolour Half Pan in Ivory Black 612 is a professional Japanese watercolour for artists who want a dependable, versatile black in their palette.
Made with PBk9, a bone-black pigment, it produces a cool, semi-transparent blue-black with a subtle brown undertone. This makes it useful for painting deep shadows, dark details, monochromatic studies and muted colour mixtures. Holbein’s Artist Watercolours are formulated without ox gall or other dispersing agents, giving the paint a distinctive handling character and allowing artists greater control over colour density and brushwork.
The concentrated paint is easily rewettable, while the compact half pan format makes it convenient for studio palettes, sketching and travel painting.
