Gamblin PVA Size
ZF5
Gamblin PVA Size is a surface preparation material used to size suitable fabric supports before applying an oil painting ground. Sizing helps reduce the direct contact between oil-containing materials and canvas fibres, supporting a more appropriate foundation for long-lasting oil paintings. It is an important consideration for artists preparing their own canvases and linen supports rather than working exclusively with commercially primed surfaces.
Designed for artists, painting studios and fine art practitioners, Gamblin PVA Size can be used as part of a considered canvas preparation process. It is particularly relevant when preparing fabric supports for oil painting grounds, including compatible Gamblin products. Always follow the manufacturer's instructions for application, drying and compatibility with subsequent layers. Available at Artzo India, it is a useful addition to a professional oil painter's surface preparation materials.
