Gamblin Galkyd Lite Fluid Medium

If you want your oil colours to flow more freely while retaining the character of your brushwork, Gamblin Galkyd Lite is a useful medium to have in your studio. Its low-viscosity formulation makes paint easier to spread and is particularly suitable for fluid applications, underpainting and thin glaze layers.

Compared with regular Galkyd, Galkyd Lite is more fluid and produces a less glossy finish. It is a good choice when you want to retain visible brushstrokes and achieve a more painterly surface instead of having marks level out.

Use it in moderation to adjust the handling of oil colours, improve transparency and create thin layers that dry relatively quickly.
