Caran d'Ache Supracolor Soft Aquarelle is a professional watercolour pencil range known for its soft, highly pigmented and water-soluble colour core. This set of 18 colours comes in a practical metal box, making it suitable for drawing, illustration, watercolour sketching and mixed-media work.

The 3.8 mm water-soluble lead can be used dry for precise coloured-pencil techniques or activated with water to create washes, gradients and painterly effects. The hexagonal cedar-wood body provides a comfortable grip, while the colour-matched finish makes shades easy to identify.

Supracolor Soft Aquarelle pencils can also be combined with other Caran d'Ache media such as Neocolor II and Pablo pencils. Made in Switzerland, they are suited to artists, illustrators, designers and students working across dry and wet techniques.

Supracolor Soft Aquarelle gives you the control of a coloured pencil with the option of turning the marks into watercolour washes. This makes a compact 18-colour palette useful for sketchbooks, studies, illustration, botanical work and travel painting.

The soft lead responds well to layering, shading and blending when used dry, while a wet brush can dissolve the pigment and create fluid washes. The metal box keeps the pencils organised and protected between sessions.
