Caran d'Ache Neocolor II Aquarelle Water-Soluble Pastels – Set of 40 Colours

Neocolor II gives you two ways to work with the same colour: use the pastel dry for expressive marks, solid areas and textured drawing, or add water to dissolve the pigment and create washes, gradients and watercolour-style effects. This makes it useful when one medium needs to cover both drawing and painting applications.

The 40-colour assortment provides a broad working palette for illustration, sketching, mixed media, lettering, surface decoration and experimental techniques. The soft, velvety pastel is easy to layer and manipulate, while its water-soluble formulation opens up techniques that are not possible with conventional oil or wax pastels.
