Caran d'Ache Neocolor I Artist Pastels are permanent, water-resistant wax pastels with a creamy texture, strong covering power and excellent lightfastness.

This set contains 15 assorted colours presented in a practical metal box, providing a compact palette for drawing, illustration, graphic work, craft projects and mixed-media artwork.

The 8.65 mm pastel sticks produce rich, opaque marks and can be layered, blended, polished, rubbed or worked with scraping techniques to create different textures and effects.

Neocolor I can be used directly on paper, cardboard, glass, wood, leather, fabric and stone.

Made and developed in Switzerland, this versatile wax pastel set is suitable for artists, designers, students and creative practitioners.

Neocolor I gives you a substantial wax pastel that combines strong colour coverage with a smooth, creamy application. The permanent, water-resistant formulation makes it useful when you want marks and layers to remain distinct rather than dissolve with water.

The 15-colour metal box provides a practical selection for sketching, illustration, graphic work and mixed media. You can blend and layer the colours directly, or use techniques such as rubbing, polishing and sgraffito to introduce different surface effects.
