Caran d’Ache Luminance Colour Pencil Set of 12
Caran d’Ache Luminance Colour Pencil Set of 12 is a compact artist colour pencil collection designed for drawing, illustration and fine art applications.
The Luminance range is made for artists who work with coloured pencils as a primary medium, offering a palette suited to colour layering, blending, shading and detailed drawing. A curated set format makes it a practical starting point for artists exploring the Luminance range or a convenient addition to an existing coloured-pencil collection.
Use the pencils for portrait drawing, botanical illustration, landscapes, wildlife, still life, fashion illustration, character art and detailed coloured-pencil illustration.
For realistic artwork, build colour gradually through multiple layers to develop highlights, mid-tones and shadows. Different pencil pressures can be used to control intensity, while overlapping colours can create additional tonal and colour variation.
The set is suitable for both detailed studies and expressive artwork. Artists can use individual colours independently or combine shades to create more complex transitions and depth.
For portraits, coloured pencils can be layered to develop complexion, hair, eyes, clothing and subtle facial details. For botanical and landscape work, they can be used for foliage, flowers, trees, skies, water and natural textures.
The compact set format also makes it useful for artists, illustrators, students and hobbyists who want to work with Caran d’Ache Luminance pencils without immediately committing to a larger collection.
